and leads you into the orient!

Seiya’s unique way of dancing has its foundation in classical belly dancing. She is a master of the traditional elements of oriental dance, and more: The essence of the dance, one may say, is second nature to Seiya.

Seiya also dances to live music. After speaking briefly with the musicians on site, Seiya presents her dances: to the rhythm of a single drummer, the sounds of a band or the music of a large orchestra. No rehearsal is necessary.

To provide you with a unique experience, Seiya will gladly create a programme to accommodate your individual needs. The photo gallery [link] and the videos [link] will give a taste of what awaits you. One example of Seiya’s show might be as follows:

Repertoire and Exemplary Show

Seiya dances in the classical Arabian style (Raqs Sharqi), as well as in the Egyptian and romantic styles. A splendid opening dance, for example, with Isis-wings  or a tray of candles balanced on her head, captivates the audience, leading them into the mysterious world of  the Orient. This is followed by a classical belly dance – now you have entered the realm of the senses and poetry. There you encounter a thrilling mystic saber dance, before Seiya dances to an electrifying drum-solo. The dance swells and unleashes a rousing stream of the joy of life. With the grande finale the atmosphere grows to a climax. Those who can no longer sit still are warmly invited to join in the dance!

Seiya also offers numerous variations. As a dancer and an actress, she enjoys performing different roles and has a command of a multitude of dance styles and forms of expression, from the traditional to the experimental. Thus, she fascinates a wide range of audiences. Upon request, a mixture of various cultural forms and/or mystic dances could easily be included in her show, for example:

• Shamadan, an Egyptian dance while balancing a candelabra on her head
• Djinn dance while serving a welcome drink
• (Seiya serves tea from a tray balanced on her head)
• Gypsy dance
• Bollywood

Duration of a Show

According to your wishes, Seiya can create a programme suited to your individual needs. The length of her performance may vary, lasting, as a rule, from 15 to 30 minutes. 40-minute shows may also be booked.
